Last year's visit of President Rodrigo Duterte to Israel is now bearing fruits as the Israeli government has already finalized the Memorandum of Agreement of hiring Filipino workers for Israel. The agreement does not only apply to hiring Caregivers but also Hotel Workers.
To date, the agreement is not yet materialized, but according to Ambassador to the Philippines Rafael Harpaz, jobs in the tourism industry may be available for Filipino workers this coming December 2019. However, they'll only limit to hire up to 2000 overseas workers under this category, but 1000 will come from the Philippines.
The said agreement involves a government to government process to eliminate the participation of recruitment agencies which charge exploitative placement fees to the applicants. Stay tuned for further announcement from POEA regarding this job opportunities for Filipinos in Israel.
